<note>BACKGROUND: Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever is a disease that still become a public health problems in the world including Indonesia. Nevertheless, to define which case can be developed into shock on dengue haemorrhagic fever patients is hardly predictable. At such, laboratories findings covering hematocrit value and thrombocytes amount check is expected to anticipate the case of Dengue Shock Syndrome. Thus, an anticipated method can be executed in Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever patients. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between thrombocytes and hematocrit of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) patients with shock. METHODS: Descriptive analytic study with retrospective design. The samples were DHF patients who hospitalized in H. A. Sultan Dg RadjaRegional Hospital Bulukumba on November 2015 until November 2016 with taken by using non probability sampling technique. Data were collected from medical records and analyzed by Chi Square test. RESULTS: This study recruited 255 patients. Based on the age group the highest incidence occurred in children 5-14 years old as many as 162 patients (63,5%). Based on the gender group the highest incidence occurred in male as many as 130 patients (51%). Based on stage of DHF, most of them were encountered at stage I as many as 191 patients (74,9%), with not shock as many as 222 patients (87,1%) and get shock as many as 33 patients (12,9%). Based on first laboratory thrombocyte test results when encountered, the most common thrombocyte was at >100.000 /µl as many as 216 patients (84,7%) and the most common hematocrit when encountered was at < 42% as many as 164 patients (64,3%). . CONCLUSIONS: The results in this study, founded on thrombocyte value of p=0,000 (p</note>
