 <note>Objective:  To  determine  the  role  of  students  clinical  phase  medical  faculty 
Muhammadiyah  University  of  Makassar  in  health  care  for  patients  in  hospital  network 
education. Method: This study used a cross-sectional study design. Samples were obtained 
by  126  respondents  with  details  of  47  respondents  from  Hospital  Tk.  II  Pelamonia  of 
Makassar and 79 respondents from the General Hospital of Syech Yusuf of Gowa. Data 
was  obtained  using  a  questionnaire  and  analyzed  by  chi-square  test.  Result:  This  study 
shows  that  patients  agree  both  male  students  and  female  as  much  as  82.5%  when  they 
were about  to read medical records, while only 37.3% when students performed  invasive 
direct action. Patients who do not agree either male students and female as much as 30.2% 
when to  examine the patients  without the presence of a doctor, while only 2.4% when it is 
present  on  the  ward.  Factors  gender,  the  presence  of  the  supervising  physician,  type  of 
wards, as well as invasive in patients showed a p-value</note>
